Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification of UGC NET 2018 notification.


Important Dates CBSE NET 2018

1. Submission of online application form 05.03.2018
2. Last date for Applying Online 05.04.2018
3. Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank challan, at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank) or through credit/debit card 06.04.2018
4. Correction in Particulars of application form on the website 25/04/2018 to 01/05/2018
5. Date of Examination 08.07.2018

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test(NET) on 08th JULY, 2018 (SUNDAY)for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP:

Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is three years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidates who have already joined M. Phil./ Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET
result or date of their joining, whichever is later. February 23, 2018.

ELIGIBILITY:

i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC
The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/ScheduledCaste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test

Paper pattern

There will be total 2 papers which will consist of objective type questions.

Paper 1

Total marks: 100

Total questions: 50 (all compulsory)

Duration: 1 hour (9:30 am to 10:30 am)

Each question will carry 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature and will test the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. A candidate’s reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness will be tested.

Paper 2

Total marks: 200

Total questions: 100 (all compulsory)

Duration: 2 hours (11 am to 1 pm)

Each question will carry 2 marks and will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

SC/ST/PwD/ Examination Fee  Rs. 500/-
Transgender Examination Fee Rs. 250/-
